Gigas/Rock Oysters

 

Maldon Oysters

 

The Maldon oysters are grown on our own farms in the Blackwater Estuary. They are available all year round in 60-80 gram 80-110 gram and 110-140 gram sizes.  They have a distinct flavour due the salt marshes where they are grown. They are excellent on the half shell, pan-fried or even baked with a variety of toppings or sauces.

Kumomoto Oysters

 

These Oysters are totally wild and handpicked from our traditional oyster beds.  They have a thicker than normal shell, with a slightly different shape but have an exquisite taste and meatiness.

Blackwater Wild

 

These Oysters are totally wild and handpicked from our traditional oyster beds.  They have a thicker than normal shell, with a slightly different shape but have an exquisite taste and meatiness.

 

Native Oysters

 

These are available from September through to the end of April.

Maldon Natives

 

From our own traditional beds in the Blackwater Estuary which have been used to grow oysters since Roman times.
